Overview:
The Director - Member Relations is responsible for attracting
new members, and retaining existing members. This person
also deals with the PMI Headquarters at least on a monthly
basis to follow up on membership inquiries, receive reports/data,
and to get membership supplies such as information packets.
Detailed Position Activities:
• Compile and maintain a current file of PMI? members
in the Chicagoland Chapter area of operation and solicit
their affiliation with the local Chicagoland Chapter.
• Maintain a membership drive, including providing
application forms and PMI? information to potential members.
• Direct the processing of applications for membership
to PMI?.
• Maintain an up-to-date mailing list; provide other
officers with frequent updates as required for their responsibilities.
• Include the PMI? Regional Advocate and PMI? Chapter
Services Administrator on the Chicagoland Chapter mailing
list
• Monitor and report upon the general membership’s
requirements and response to Chicagoland Chapter programs.
• Respond to and follow up on membership telephone
and e-mail inquiries
• Send a welcome packet to new members.
