VP Outreach

Overview:

The VP Outreach is responsible for developing strategies for the Chapter’s outreach initiatives in the areas of academic outreach, corporate outreach and outreach to other professional organizations. In this role, the VP Outreach works closely with outreach program directors to set program goals and develop new initiatives. The VP of Outreach’s main responsibilities are:

• Assures strategic alignment between PMI and the Chicagoland Chapter’s outreach initiatives.
• Assures program visibility to other PMI components and the PMI organization (through presentations and other activities).
• Seeks ways to exploit outreach opportunities using resources provided by PMI.
• Liaison between PMI’s outreach resources and the Chicagoland Chapter.
• Assures synergy between all PMI Chicagoland outreach programs.
• Appointment of Outreach Directors and Committee members.
• Oversight and direction of all chapter outreach programs.
• Budget control of all chapter outreach programs.
• Monitors various chapter outreach program progress and success.
• Report of monthly chapter outreach activity.
• Chairs presenter selection and training committee/s.
• Appoint Directors, committees, and committee chairs on a project or task basis, with the approval of the Board.

October
• Recruit Academic, Corporate and Other Association Outreach Directors for following year.
November
• Prepare program budgets and goals for following year.
• Appoint Academic, Corporate and Other Association Outreach Directors.
• Along with Directors, recruit committee volunteers for following year.
December
• Appoint committee volunteers for following year based on Director recommendations.
