Best Project Management advice ever received
A good project manager should motivate and lead the team by example. It is not only about being organized and having ability to take good notes.
Your secret to effective Project Management
Evaluate the level of your involvement in a project based on the situation. In other words, your leadership style should fit the project environment and the project team. Always think of where you can add the most value to the particular project and where your efforts should be concentrated. There is no one predefined way to manage projects, it is really situational.
It is also essential to have a backbone and to know when to push back, to say no and stand for and defend what you believe is right for the project.
