Lawrence Witham, MBA , PMP

Personal History
Larry is a certified Project Manager (PMP) and holds an MBA in Technology Management. He has over 20 years of experience in Information Systems and Information Technology projects. During that time, he has held management positions in large corporations such as Microsoft and CNA Insurance. He has also done independent consulting in Project Management and Organizational Maturity, helping many companies develop Project Management and Software Development Life Cycle methodologies. He is currently Manager for the IT PMO at Coventry Healthcare, responsible for process improvement and staff development. In addition, Larry teaches Project Management in both professional development classes and university graduate classes.

Larry is a member of the Project Management Institute (PMI). He is currently working on the standards committee for the 2008-update of the Organizational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3). He is VP of outreach for PMI Chicago-land Chapter, promoting the importance of project management as a profession among organizations throughout the greater Chicago metropolitan area.
