Title Release Manager/Project Manager II
 
Location Downers Grove, IL
 
Job Summary As the Release Project Manager, you will be a member of PNC's Mortgage’s organization of more than 3,000 professionals. PNC Mortgage is a top 10 Lender in the nation.



The position reports to the Vice President of Strategic Initiatives and is based in Downers Grove, IL.



 
Responsibilities Your primary responsibility is to work with our recently installed LOS/POS (Loan Origination and Point of Sale) system (imPACT) and all other integrated support systems. Responsibilities include:

 

· Vendor Release Management: Tracking the delivery of new, enhanced or repaired functionality from our system vendors

· Ensuring billing from the vendors is accurate based on what was delivered within each release

· System Development Release Management: Managing the prioritization of change requests and defects that should be installed in each release

· Release Communications: Providing accurate, timely release details to the appropriate areas (training, vendors, Loan Officers, Operations, etc.)

· Coordinating with the IS team to insure a common understanding of business requirements and priorities for all systems installations

· Working with the Production Customer Support Centers to ensure each area understands how each release impacts them

· Acting as the Application Owner of the system: review and decision of all access requests, being the point of contact for systems change requests, etc.

· Managing the future enhancement queue

· Owning the application's security matrix

Your hours will generally be 8-5, however adjustments will be made on dates where there is a release. Within the day, there will be a variety of activity, with a pace set by changes requested by the business, vendors, compliance, etc. In your role, you will draw upon your high attention to detail, clear, timely and thorough communication skills, strong coordination skills, and problem-solving skills.


 
Qualifications The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:

 

· Bachelor degree or equivalent experience with a concentration in business or computer sciences

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Strong leadership skills including the ability to influence and negotiate

· Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people in wide range of positions

· Demonstrated PMO and project management experience on strategic projects with senior management oversight

· Exceptional PC skills - MS Office Suite of Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) including MS Project and or similar project planning tool

· Minimum 7 years of applied project management experience

· Minimum 3 years of release management experience

 

 

Additional Preferred Skills:

- PMP certification

- Background in financial services industry
