Job Description / Competency Outline for Program Manager at NorthShore
(Reports to ARAMARK Resident District Manager)
A. Process Improvement Facilitator
1. Attends meetings and works with on-site Process Improvement Team as it relates to Support Service departments;
2. Continued analysis’s of current operations;
3. Researches Cause and Affect;
4. Oversees implementation of new processes. Works with RDM and operational leadership to help facilitate change and implementation training;
5. Monitor’s results and change process as needed.
6. Proactively analyzes operations data and processes and identifies possible improvement opportunities.
B. Management of accelerated implementation of innovative procedures and processes
1. Networks with ARAMARK and outside industry experts to stay abreast of the latest Innovation in processes and programs related to Support Service lines-of-service;
2. Works with other DSE’s in ARAMARK to get consensus on new programs to be implemented;
3. Works with Senior DSE in ARAMARK and NorthShore Infection Control Staff to for selection for new chemicals, programs, and processes;
4. Educates Key Stake Holders at NorthShore about change, gets buy-in before implementation process begins;
5. Works with OEM to implement agreed upon Innovative processes to management and front line workers.
6. In coordination with RDM and NorthShore develops and co-manages a Change Management Program for Support Services
C. Strategic Project Manager – With the NorthShore mission to remain on the forefront of preserving and improving human life, changes in service levels in Support Services must flex / adapt quickly to meet care demands. Many potential service initiatives / changes can be asked of ARAMARK to look at on a monthly basis. Also, continued construction and remodeling of space, and the disciplined execution of getting these areas patient ready for occupancy is critical.
1. Individual will, preferably, have (or will be working toward) Project Management Professional (PM)P) Certification and/or, preferably, have 5+ years experience managing mid to large scale projects
2. Individual will lead all quality initiatives, improvement plans, and partner closely with NorthShore leadership and RDM
3. Individual will manage the project calendar and report to the team - progress on all items at weekly meetings.
4. Individual stake holders will have projects on an ongoing basis. This person will network with these stake holders to discuss, plan, find viable solutions and implement agreed upon services.
5. Person will integrate with Facility Services to assist in construction related projects and network with key staff on those projects requiring Support Service.
6. This person will collaborate with all necessary department leaders to ensure project deployment and timeline needs and be a liaison between ARAMARK and key NorthShore Leadership staff.
D. Onsite Technical Expert on the Implementation of Operational Programs and Processes.
1. Networks with other DSE’s within ARAMARK with continued education process on latest Support Service programs, processes, procedures, and equipment.
2. Networks with other DSE’s and Experts within ARAMARK and outside experts on Support Service operations.
3. Collaborates with Safety, and IT directors in the training of Management staff
4. Conducts technical training sessions at the manager and supervisory level.
E. Management of Partnership Performance Metrics
1. Ownership of all partnership metrics agreed upon by NorthShore and ARAMARK, along with ARAMARK Scorecard metrics - monitoring, analyzing, reporting and action plan development with RDM
2. Be able to manage expectations with key stake holders on how metrics should track and the variances associated with perceived vs. actual results.
