Title Project Manager Vendor/Promotions
 
Location Deerfield, IL
 
Job Summary Sr. Project Manager to lead several Promotional and Vendor Management projects that will involve trade fund optimization, deal governance, scorecard development, and performance tracking. The position will require the candidate to have extensive experience in vendor management, vendor-related business processes, promotional planning and promotional forecasting / analysis systems
 
Responsibilities The project manager will be managing the scope, quality, risks, schedule, and resources of vendor and promotional management projects. The candidate will be able to understand the impact of vendor funding as well as promotional strategies on overall business objectives. This position will be responsible for managing projects that will identify composite data and processes in tracking vendor fund performance as well as promotional product performance and comparing them to plan. This will include working with cross-departmental resources and third-party vendors.

The candidate should be able to facilitate the review of project deliverables versus the plan, coordinate regular status meetings, anticipate potential risks, and suggest corrective action when issues arise, while being able to deliver the projects on time and on budget. This position will require the candidate to possess strong analytical skills, quality management, excellent organizational skills, leadership skills, and posses a deep knowledge of vendor management strategies.


 
Qualifications • 10+ years Retail Promotion / Vendor management strategy experience
• 10+ years of Project Management experience. Must be able to manage multiple projects and people effectively while reacting quickly to suggestions.
• Experience with Trade Fund management systems
• Experience with Vendor Deals, Vendor Scorecard creation, and Deal Governance
• Experience with Promotional Trade Management Systems
• Ability to collaborate with others in an effective manner and deal with adversity in a structured and respectful manner.
• Strong communication skills, analytical skills, quality management, excellent organizational skills, leadership skills, and the ability to deal in a fast-paced environment.
• Great attention to detail and ability to learn quickly
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office tools
• Bachelors degree in Technical or Management discipline
