| Responsibilities |
The project manager will be responsible for identifying initiative scope, costs, objectives and building work breakdown structures incorporating all aspects of data center and infrastructure projects. The plans must incorporate all hardware, networking, data center capacity and technical staff activities. Projects will range from one platform to various (mainframe, client server, open systems) and may involve from a few to over a hundred servers and storage devices.
Our project managers are often expected to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Projects are managed following standard PM disciplines outlined in the PMBOK published by the Project Management Institute.
The project manager is responsible for facilitating meetings, managing expectations, scope management, issue and risk management, frequent status reporting and overall responsibility for completing the project on time and within budget. The successful project / program manager has the ability to work at all levels within an organization from an individual contributor to executives.
Projects regularly have aggressive timeframes and may require overtime and weekend work. Clients are US based and projects may require travel within the US. The project manager may be located virtually.
You MUST have experience of data center migrations and infrastructure related projects. You will not be considered if you do not have this experience.

| Qualifications |
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience
- 10 years+ proven project management experience skills/discipline in work planning, estimating/budgeting, resource planning, risk assessment, expectation management, scope and issue management with complex IT projects
- Experience leading the full lifecycle of data center and infrastructure projects is required
- Experience developing long term plans to implement strategic directives
- Experience of working in a CMMI implementation environment is highly beneficial
- ITIL experience is not required but is a plus
- Strong written & verbal communications
- Strong command of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and MS Project.
- Ability to work with different levels of management throughout an organization, excellent customer focus, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is a must.
- The right candidate must be a quick learner and have the aptitude to understand the wide variety of technical solutions
- Project Management certification preferred but not required
- Previous consulting / outsourcing experience are preferred
- Candidate needs to have good interpersonal and leadership skills
