| The key areas of qualification for this position include the following:
-Minimum 15 years professional business experience, preferably in the Health Insurance industry
• Minimum 10 years experience managing large and highly-complex Information Technology and/or Healthcare projects
• Minimum 5 years supervisory experience of large teams (15+ team members) specifically supervising professional and technical staff
• Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP Certification
• Highly proficient in utilizing Microsoft Project to develop deliverable-oriented work breakdown structures (WBS), and tracking project progress and interdependencies.
• Strong hands on experience in RUP Methodology
• Strong hands on experience in IBM Rational Tool Suit
• Main objective is to help the PMO enhance their tools, develop new tools, techniques and processes
• Will be interacting with PMO and Project Managers, other business units and technical resources
• Eventually managing multiple projects concurrently with budgets ranging from $300,00-400,00 to $1M and perhaps above.
• Project Server, Project Scheduler, Portfolio Management, and Resource Management experience is required
• Sharepoint knowledge - able to understand concept is highly desired as that is also in their environment.
• Healthcare experience is a must - if the person meets all the other requirements and has 2-3 years of recent healthcare experience out of their 10-15 year career, that is acceptable
• Working knowledge and familiarity with all or most of the following: IT operations and Infrastructure, systems engineering principles, Mainframe and Distributed systems, systems integration, Web services / e-Business, and Application Development Our client is looking for someone with knowledge in most or all of these area so they can help build requirements, tools and processes and be able to work with the business and technical resources on those projects.
