Abstract:
Organizations deem the development of their project managers to be of strategic importance but the reality is that professional development programs for the most part are informal, unstructured and not measured. As a consequence random results are the norm. This presentation will address the challenges project managers face in realizing their professional development goals and introduce strategies to overcome these problems and excel in their field.
If you are a PM leader you will learn some practical steps for helping your PM’s achieve higher levels of competency and you will begin to understand what the lack of formal, structured development is costing your organization.
If you are a PM practitioner you learn how to attain permission to work towards continuous improvement and start to address the barriers that are keeping you from being a great PM.
Mr. Everett will describe how the Professional Development Accountability Model ℠ can be implemented to turn up the intensity, focus and accountability necessary to achieve the goal of more highly skilled project managers in your organization.
