Inspirational "Manipulation"-Sometimes Called Leadership
Presentation Abstract:
In today's world of tight budgets and a prevailing attitude of "more with less" the person who can create an environment where the "workers" work harder than ever, longer than ever, then beg for more will be the person who is still standing when the cloud of organizational uncertainty and instability is gone.
Inspirational "Manipulation" is about getting people to do things they typically would not do-and doing it well. This can be achieved in a non-threatening manner by finding the common denominator in a very simple but productive three sided triangle. What's in it for the organization, what's in it for you, AND what's in it for the worker? The techniques to be discussed have increased individual productivity and organizational output as much as 100% with an average improvement of 30% realized.
Attendees will learn:
- How to inspire workers to achieve never before imagined levels of productivity
- What constitutes a "high performance" team, and how to create one
- How to be productive in a virtual environment
- How to become the "Pied Piper" of PM
About the Speaker
Lee Lambert has established the standard against which educators and practioners in the field of Project Management are measured. In 1981 he was invited to join the team that created the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification Program. He is a Past President of the Central Ohio PMI and served on the PMNetwork/Journal Editorial Review Board for over a decade. Lee has authored two books and more than 30 professional articles/whitepapers. He is also PMI SME for the EVMS Practice Guide and the Project Estimating Practice Guide (in development). Educated in Engineering Design, he is a holder of a Master's Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University. As the creator of the "Stealth Learning" concept, no other educator/speaker can contend with his uncanny technical knowledge, unique material content and refreshingly entertaining delivery of an otherwise "dry" topic. Lee takes the saying; "Been there, done that, got the T-shirt" to the next level as he continues to "make a difference" in his chosen field.
